Majestic Gift And Stationary Shop

The shop is located at No:77 Dr. Ambedkar Salai in Sakthi Nagar. It is a bit of a crowded spot, especially when the schools nearby let out and all the students come running in for notebooks or a specific kind of pen they need for their homework. We have been in S. Kolathur for a while now, and most of the people who walk through the door are neighbors we see every single day. The shelves are packed with everything from birthday cards that have been sitting there a bit too long to the latest geometry sets. Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for because there is just so much stuff tucked away in the corners. I try to keep the stationary organized, but when the gift items arrive, everything gets moved around again. We have a small glass counter where we keep the more expensive pens and some watches. My brother usually handles the registers while I try to help people find the right wrapping paper. It’s not a very big space, and it can get quite warm in the afternoons when the sun hits the front window. We just do our best to keep the stock full so the local kids don’t have to go all the way into the main city just to get a few pencils or some glue for a project. It is just a regular local shop.
