Our office is at 501A in Natco Colony, right on North Street in Kottivakkam. Chennai gets really hot, so we usually start quite early before the sun is too much. Being near the coast means there is a bit of a breeze sometimes, but mostly it is just humid. We do construction and development work around here. It involves a lot of site visits and looking at piles of sand and bricks. The office in Natco Colony is where we keep the blueprints and the files. It’s a quiet street for the most part, which is nice when you need to focus on a drawing or a permit application. We have a small team. Everyone knows everyone else’s coffee order. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city. We just handle the projects that come our way. Sometimes things get delayed because of the rain or a late delivery, but that is just how it goes in this business. We’ve been here at this address for a good bit of time now. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise with the trucks. It’s a practical place to work from. We sit around the big table in the middle to discuss what needs to happen next on a site. There isn't much more to it than that. We just keep building things one at a time and hope the weather stays clear.
