Kumaran Furnitures

Kumaran Furnitures is sitting at 45 C on Medavakkam Main Road. We are directly opposite the Kumaran Cinema Hall in Madipakkam. Everyone knows the cinema, so that makes it pretty easy to explain where we are to people who haven't visited before. We have been selling furniture from this spot for quite a long time. The shop is full of sofas, beds, and tables. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes because we try to keep a lot of variety on the floor. It’s not one of those huge malls. It’s more of a neighborhood store where you can walk in and touch the wood or sit on the cushions to see if they are actually comfortable. We don't have a team of sales people following you around. We let you look and if you have a question, we are right there behind the counter. We handle our own deliveries most of the time. You might see our small truck out front being loaded up in the mornings. Medavakkam Main Road is always crowded, so things can get a bit loud with all the horns outside. But once you’re inside, it’s just us and the furniture. We don't do much in terms of advertising or radio spots. We find that being honest about the quality of a piece of wood goes a long way. People appreciate not being pushed into a sale when they are just trying to find a bed.
