Getting out to Plot No. C-13 in the Sipcot Industrial Park takes a bit of time, especially with the road conditions around Irrukattukottai lately. But this is where Kmc Aluminium Pvt Ltd is based. We spend most of our hours inside this big shed. It’s an industrial park, so everything looks the same—lots of grey walls and heavy gates. Our plot, C-13, is just another one of those spots where people are working hard. The air smells like metal most days. We have a small office area, but most of us are out on the floor. It is not a place for fancy meetings. We usually just sit around a plain table with some tea if someone visits. The Sipcot area is pretty isolated, so we bring our own lunch and eat together. Working with aluminium is heavy work. We’ve had some long nights when the orders piled up. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the metal. Sometimes the power goes out in Irrukattukottai and we have to wait for the generators to kick in. It’s frustrating, but we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and get the job done at Kmc Aluminium. It’s a simple life out here in the industrial park, nothing like the city offices. We just worry about the next delivery and keeping the machines running without too much trouble.
