Hindustan Zinc Limited

Our branch is out in Kolappakkam, which is part of the Vandalur area in Chennai. We are specifically at Plot No.22 in the Chandrapuram Ext-3 neighborhood. It’s a bit of a trek from the city center, but it’s much quieter out here. The office for Hindustan Zinc Limited is a simple building that we’ve been using for a while. It’s surrounded by a lot of new construction and open plots. We spend most of our time inside, managing the regional accounts and keeping the records straight. The air is a little fresher than in the middle of Chennai, which is nice. Inside, we have rows of filing cabinets and a few desks that are usually cluttered with papers. We don't use much fancy software; a lot of our work is still done the old-fashioned way with spreadsheets and physical folders. There is a small porch out front where we take our breaks. Sometimes we see birds or stray dogs wandering by the plot. It’s a very low-key operation. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a shiny sign. Most people who come here are workers or delivery drivers who already know where we are. We just focus on getting through the daily list of tasks. It's a steady job in a growing part of the city. We keep to ourselves and make sure the paperwork is finished by the end of the day.
