Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd. has its office at No.118, Old Mahabalipuram Road. It’s a long road and there’s always plenty of traffic outside, especially during the rush hours. We’ve been at this location for a good while, and most people around here know where we are. We deal with pumps and related equipment. It’s not the most glamorous business you could think of, but it’s necessary for a lot of people and projects. The building itself is practical. We have some office space and a bit of area for looking at the equipment closely. It’s usually pretty quiet inside, except for the hum of the air conditioning units. We have a mix of people working here, some who have been with us since the very beginning. We don't have any big slogans on the walls or anything like that. We just focus on the orders and making sure the equipment is handled right. Some days are slow and others we are running around trying to catch up with everything. That’s just life in an office. We take our lunch breaks together sometimes, talking about ordinary things like movies or the weather. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide what our customers ask for. It’s a steady kind of job. The commute on OMR can be tough with all the construction, but we are used to it by now. We just show up and do what needs doing every single day.
