Our place is over on 45th Street in Nanganallur. If you’re looking for us, the old house number was 29 but they changed it to 3A a while back, which sometimes confuses the delivery drivers. We’ve been dealing with roofing sheets and all that for a long time. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff around the warehouse. Most days are spent checking inventory and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. The sun hits the metal pretty hard during the day, so it gets warm inside the shed. We aren't big on fancy meetings or sitting around in suits. Usually, we’re just wearing old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we usually take a break in the mornings. Nanganallur is a busy area, and the streets can be narrow, so maneuvering the big trucks is always a bit of a trick. We’ve had some of the same guys working here for years now. They know the stock better than I do sometimes. It’s just a straightforward business. We provide the materials people need for their houses or sheds and try not to make a mess of things. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We just keep at it, day in and day out, making sure the orders go out to whoever needs them.
