Ebeneser School Of Music

Ebeneser School Of Music is located at No 16 K on Railway Road in Kanchipuram. It’s quite close to the station, so you can often hear the trains passing by while someone is trying to practice their scales. We have a few rooms set up for different instruments. It’s not a big fancy academy with soundproof booths or anything like that. You can usually hear a bit of piano from one room and maybe a guitar or some singing from another. We have children coming in after their regular school hours and some adults who come by in the evenings. The instruments are mostly older ones that we’ve had for a long time. The floors are a bit worn out and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't affect the music. Our teachers are just local people who know their way around a keyboard or a violin. We don’t have a big marketing plan; people mostly find out about us because they live nearby or walk past the sign on Railway Road. It’s a bit of a cramped space when we have several students at once, but we make it work. We spend our time checking the tuning of the instruments and helping people get through their music books. It’s a quiet life, mostly, aside from the music and the trains. We just keep the doors open for anyone who wants to learn.
