Sholinganallur is always crowded these days with all the new construction and people moving in for work. We are tucked away inside Aashika Enclave on Gangai Amman Koil Street. It is a lot quieter back here than on the main road, which we all appreciate. Finding 6B is not too hard if you just follow the street signs. The heat in Chennai can be really tough in the middle of the day, so we usually have the AC running as much as we can. Our office is a small space, mostly just desks and a little corner where we keep the coffee maker. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets on our screens. The traffic on the way here is a nightmare during the morning rush, so most of us try to get in quite early to beat the worst of it. There is a small tiffin shop around the corner where we get breakfast or snacks sometimes. It is not a big corporate office complex with security guards or fancy lobbies. We just turn the key, open the door, and get to work. Sometimes the neighbors from the other flats come by just to say hello. It is a mix of houses and small businesses in this part of the city. We have been here a while and know the local delivery guys by their first names. It is just a regular workplace in a busy city.
