Blue Bay Coastal Research Foundation

Blue Bay Coastal Research Foundation is located at 43/B/63 Poonthotta Street. It’s kind of tucked away on Amudapadi Back Street in Little Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is famous for its temples, but we are more interested in the coast and the water, even if we are a bit inland here. Our office is in a regular building in a busy part of the city. The streets around here can be narrow and a bit crowded with scooters and cycles. We have been here in Kancheepuram for a while. Our work involves a lot of data and looking at how the coastline is changing. It sounds a bit technical, but for us, it’s just daily work. We have maps pinned to the walls and books everywhere. It’s not the most organized office, but we know where everything is. The neighbors are friendly, and we often get tea from the shop around the corner. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small one. People usually find us by asking for the back street near Poonthotta. We do our research and send our reports out. It’s quiet work mostly. Sometimes we travel to the actual coast to see things for ourselves. Then we come back here to Little Kanchipuram to write it all down. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy enough.
