Bamboo Shoots

We are over at No 23 on Sarojini Street in Mugalivakkam. It’s tucked away in Rajeshwari Nagar 1st Main Street, which is a bit of a mouthful to tell people over the phone. Most people just look for the Xs Real Community Center since it's quite close by and everyone knows where that is. Chennai weather being what it is, we usually have the fans going full speed in the office. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main roads, which is nice when you’re trying to get things done. The building is a standard house-style office setup that you see a lot in this part of town. We’ve got a small area for visitors and then the main rooms where we handle all the Bamboo Shoots business. It isn't a massive corporate headquarters or anything, just a practical space where a few of us work together every day. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside and it gets a bit noisy, but we don't mind much. We spend a lot of time organizing things and making sure we haven't missed any messages. Being in Mugalivakkam feels good because it’s a real community area, not just a bunch of high-rise glass buildings. We’ve got a few plants near the entrance, though they struggle a bit in the summer heat. It’s just a normal place where we put in our hours and then head home like everyone else.
