Our setup covers plots 70, 71, and 72 in the Perungudi Industrial Estate. It is a big space because we handle a lot of different things, from barrels to logistics and chemicals. Being out here in the industrial zone means we have plenty of room for trucks to come and go, which is lucky because we have a lot of them. The air in Perungudi is always thick with the smell of nearby factories and the coastal heat. We spend most of our day on the shop floor or out in the yard checking on the inventory. It is not the kind of place where you wear a suit and tie; most of us are in sturdy shoes and clothes that can get a bit dirty. We have been around for a very long time, so we have a lot of old equipment mixed in with the newer stuff. The gates stay open all day as people move parts around and loaders do their thing. It is a practical environment. We do not worry much about how the office looks as long as the work is getting done and the shipments are leaving on time. Sometimes the rains make the yard a bit of a mess, but we just work around it. There is a canteen nearby where we grab lunch, and that is usually when we get a chance to sit down. It is just hard, honest work.
