Located at A-10 in the Sipcot Industrial Estate, Irungatkottai, we’ve been here for a good while now. The area is pretty busy with trucks moving in and out all day, especially near our spot. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, which makes the work inside the shop a bit tough, but the crew stays at it. Being at Bailey Hydropower Pvt. Ltd., most of our days are spent dealing with various hydraulic components and machinery. It isn't a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. Just a practical workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the power fluctuates a bit, which is just part of being in this industrial zone, I guess. You’ll usually see a few of us standing near the entrance during the tea break, just catching a bit of air. Irungatkottai has grown a lot over the years, and there are so many more factories around us now than when we first started out. It’s a noisy place with the sound of metal and engines constant in the background, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just focus on the jobs that come in, making sure the parts are sorted before the day ends. Most of the guys here live nearby, so they know the shortcuts around the estate to avoid the morning traffic jams. It’s just a normal workplace, really. No big corporate speeches here, just people working with their hands and keeping the machines running.
