We are based out of Plot No D Vi in the Sipcot Hi-Tech SEZ, Phase II. It’s located in Sri Mangadu Village near Sriperumbudur. It’s a modern industrial zone, but the work we do at Ych Logistics is still very much about the basics. We spend our days in a large warehouse moving things around and making sure the inventory matches the lists. It is a lot of standing and walking on concrete floors. The heat in Kancheepuram can get pretty intense, even inside the big sheds. We don't have a fancy office setup with plush carpets. Most of our space is taken up by racks and packing materials. We have a small team here, and we all know each other well. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make sure that whatever comes in goes out to the right place. Sometimes the system goes down or a shipment is missing a label, and we have to spend hours sorting it out. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. We don't have a mission statement or a list of values on the wall. We just want to do our jobs and go home to our families. It’s a busy life because the SEZ is always growing, but we just take it one day at a time. It’s steady work.
