Elite Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. is situated at 9 Ponnamaniammal Street in Walajabad. It is a quiet enough street most of the time, away from the main highway noise. We have been operating out of this location for a good while. The building is large enough to hold the equipment we need for the distilling process. There are several large tanks and a lot of piping that we have to check on a regular basis to make sure nothing is leaking. The smell of the grains and the process is something you get used to very quickly. We have a group of workers who come in shifts. Some start very early in the morning when it is still dark outside. We don't have a flashy sign or a big lobby. The focus is mainly on the back where the actual work happens. The floor is concrete and we have to wash it down frequently. We keep our records in a small office near the entrance where it is a bit quieter. Sometimes the local suppliers come by with their trucks and we have to coordinate the space on the street so they can unload. It takes a lot of coordination to keep things moving smoothly. We are just a local business trying to keep things running steady without any drama or complicated systems. The machines need maintenance quite often, so someone is usually around with a wrench or some oil.
