We've been operating out of Sikaria Compound in Christian Basti for a while now. It's right on G.S. Road, so it gets pretty busy around here with all the noise and traffic. Pawan Kumar Agarwal handles a lot of the coordination and paperwork for us. We mostly deal with construction projects around Guwahati, though it isn't always easy with the heavy rain we get here in Assam. People usually know where to find us if they need something built or if there's a problem with a site. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we keep our files and meet up in the morning before heading out to work. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks, but the actual building part is what really keeps us moving. The crew usually shows up early to get a head start. We've seen this city change a lot over the years with new buildings going up on every corner. We just try to do our part and make sure the jobs we take on actually get finished. It’s hard work, getting your hands dirty and dealing with suppliers who are late, but that’s just how the business goes. If you’re walking past the complex, you might see us loading up trucks or talking to contractors. We’re just local people trying to earn a living and help put up some solid structures in Kamrup.
