Taj Group

We are based out in Guwahati, Assam, specifically in the 781029 zip code area. It is a beautiful part of India, and being here with the Taj Group feels right. Our daily life involves managing things for the local branch. It is not always like the big hotels you see in the big cities; we have a more personal way of doing things here. Most of us who work here are local people who grew up around these hills. The office is where we handle the bookings and make sure everything is ready for people who come to visit. We spend a lot of time checking on the rooms and the kitchen to see that everything is in order. It is a lot of walking and talking to the staff to make sure nobody has any problems. Sometimes the weather in Assam can be a bit unpredictable with the rain, but we just keep things moving. We are not big on using fancy words to describe what we do. We just want people to have a place to stay that feels okay. It is a job that keeps us on our feet. Many of us are settled here with our families, so we treat the place like it is our own. We just do the work and try to be useful to anyone who stops by. It is a simple life and we like it here in Guwahati.
