Sm Bitumax Limited

Down here in Guwahati, specifically in the Lal Ganesh Udal Bakhra area, we run Sm Bitumax Limited. Our office is on Rodali Path, at House No. D-29. Dealing with bitumen and road materials in Assam is always a challenge because of the heavy rains we get. One day the sun is out and we are moving fast, and the next, everything is soaked. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the office and the sites where the roads are being laid. It’s a lot of sticky work and the smell of tar is something you just get used to after a while. Our team is local, mostly guys from around Guwahati who know the terrain and the weather. We aren't a massive corporation with a glass building; we are just working out of a regular house on Rodali Path. It keeps the overhead low and lets us focus on the job. Sometimes the logistics of getting trucks through the narrow paths is a nightmare, but we've been doing it long enough to know the shortcuts. People around here know us for the work we do on the local infrastructure. It’s honest work, even if it’s messy and loud. We just want to make sure the roads stay in good shape for as long as possible for everyone driving through Assam.
