Rohini Stores

We opened Rohini Stores quite a while ago right here at Ganesh Turning. If you know Kahili Parad Road in Odalbakra, then you probably know where we are. It’s a busy spot in Guwahati. Most days start early for us. We get the shutters up and start arranging things before the morning traffic really kicks in. It’s a lot of work keeping things tidy, but that’s just how it goes. People around here stop by for all sorts of small things they need for their houses. Sometimes they just come in to say hello while they’re out on a walk. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in on their own to buy snacks or pencils. The weather can get pretty humid in this part of town, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular store where we try to have what people are looking for. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors about what’s happening on the street. The road outside can get noisy with all the cars and bikes going past Ganesh Turning. We’ve got used to the sound by now. It’s just us here most days, making sure the shelves aren't empty. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. That’s pretty much the story of our little corner here.
