People stop by here when they visit the Chandi Mandir. We've been on Nayapara Road for a while now. It gets quite busy on festival days. We sell the usual things people need for their homes. The shop isn't fancy. There are bags stacked in the corner and sometimes the floor needs a good sweep. We open early in the morning. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in for small snacks before school. Machpara is a quiet enough place most of the time. We know most of our regulars by name. It’s a simple setup. If you walk down the road, you can’t miss the temple, and we are just right there. Sometimes the power goes out, but we stay open with a few candles or a torch. We mostly deal with dry goods and household supplies. It's just a regular local shop. The shelves are mostly full, but sometimes things go out of stock if the delivery truck is late. We try to keep things organized but it doesn't always stay that way when the crowd gets thick. People chat while they wait for their change. That's just how it is here. Nothing too complicated. We just do our work and go home. We have an old counter that's been scratched up over the years, but it still works fine for us. We don't have a website or anything, just the shop front on the road. The street lamp outside flickers sometimes at night when we are closing.
