Ragmet Engineer

Up in Guwahati, you can find Ragmet Engineer in Ganesh Nagar, which is part of the Basistha area. It’s a bit out of the city center, but it’s a growing neighborhood. Our workshop is just a basic shed with some machines and a small cabin for the paperwork. The rain in Assam is no joke, so we spend a lot of time making sure the roof doesn't leak on the equipment. It’s a bit muddy around the entrance when it pours, but that’s just life here. We do mostly mechanical repairs and some custom fabrication for local guys. There’s always the sound of a lathe running or someone grinding something down. We aren’t a big corporation, just a few local workers who know their way around metal. The Basistha area has its own charm, and being in Ganesh Nagar means we are close to our customers. We don’t have any fancy uniforms, just old clothes that can get dirty. Most of our tools have been with us for a decade. It’s a simple life, waking up, opening the shutters, and seeing what needs fixing today. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the local news while we work. It’s not a high-tech place, but we know how to fix things and that’s what matters to the people who come here. We just keep the machines oiled and the work moving along as best as we can.
