Mohabbat Ali Store

Mohabbat Ali Store has been sitting here on the corner where Khanapara Road and Panjabari Road meet for a while now. This part of Guwahati gets pretty noisy with all the traffic coming through Six Mile, but we don’t mind it much. It’s just how things are in Khanapara. Our shop is a small place, packed with all sorts of items that people might need in a hurry. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the traffic on Panjabari Road, which can be a bit of a headache, but we manage. People stop by on their way to work or when they’re headed home in the evening. It’s a practical kind of business. We sell what people ask for and try not to let the shelves stay empty for too long. The floor is a bit worn down from all the feet walking through, but that just shows we’ve been busy. It’s not a fancy supermarket, just a regular neighborhood store. We spend our days chatting with neighbors and keeping an eye on the street. Guwahati is a fast-growing city, but around Six Mile, it still feels like everyone knows each other. We like being part of that daily routine for the folks living around here. There’s always something to do, whether it’s counting stock or cleaning up the front after a long day.
