Mintu Store

Mintu Store is tucked away at House No. 19 along Birubari Masjid Road in Gopinath Nagar. Being so close to the Birubari Masjid, we hear the calls throughout the day, which sort of sets the rhythm for how things go around here. It’s not a big place, just a simple neighborhood shop where people stop in for what they need. The shelves are usually pretty full, though sometimes things get a bit messy when we’re busy. We’ve got the usual stuff you’d expect to find in a local store. Most of our customers live right on this street or just a few blocks over, so we know most of them by name. It gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone is getting home from work and realizes they forgot something. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. The floor is a bit worn from all the feet walking in and out over the years. We spend a lot of time just chatting with neighbors or rearranging the stock when it gets low. Sometimes the kids from the nearby houses come in for a small treat after school. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep it clean enough. We just open up in the morning and stay until things quiet down at night. It is just a regular life running a small shop in this part of town and we like it that way.
