It’s a big place, and sometimes it feels like a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. G.M.C.H. has been part of the city for a long time, and everyone knows the building. We have students running around and doctors rushing between wards. It gets noisy and the hallways stay packed. You might have to wait a while if you come in, that’s just how it is with a place this size. We try our best to keep up with everything. There’s a lot of paperwork and a lot of different departments to keep track of. Working here means you never really have a slow day. The hospital is right in the heart of things, so it's easy for people to reach us, though parking can be a real headache sometimes. We aren't trying to be fancy; we just do the work that needs doing in Guwahati. Some parts of the building are older than others, and you can tell. But we keep the lights on and the doors open for whoever shows up at the gate. It's just a regular, busy public hospital life for us in Hanagaghar.
