Freebird Travels

Our office sits on Dr S K Bhuyan Road, right over by Dighali Pukhuri East. It’s a nice area of Guwahati because of the water nearby. You can see people walking around the pond in the evenings when the sun goes down. Freebird Travels has been operating from this location for some time now. We aren't a huge agency with a fancy glass front. It’s just a solid room with some chairs for people to sit while we look up flights or train tickets. The street outside can get a bit congested during school hours, but otherwise, it’s a decent spot. We have a lot of old maps on the wall and a calendar that usually stays on the wrong month for too long. We don't worry about being perfect. We just try to get the bookings right so people don't have trouble on their trips. The staff here is just a few of us who have lived in Guwahati our whole lives. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the local news when it’s slow. We don't have a mission statement or a big philosophy. We just come to work, answer the phone, and help whoever walks in. It’s a simple business model that has worked for us so far. Being near Dighali Pukhuri makes the commute a bit better than other parts of town. We just keep things moving and hope for the best for every traveler.
