We operate out of House No 4 on Chinaki Path, which is just off Mother Teressa Road in Guwahati 781024. The Centre For Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt Ltd has been in this spot for a bit now. It’s a nice area of Guwahati, not too loud but close enough to the main parts of town. The house we are in is a regular building. We’ve set up our workstations inside where it’s cool and quiet. Working on economic data requires a lot of concentration, so this location works well for us. Chinaki Path is a pleasant enough street to walk down in the mornings. We don't have a big corporate sign or a flashy entrance. It’s just a house where serious work happens. We keep track of various economic indicators from these desks. Sometimes we talk about the local weather or how the traffic was on Mother Teressa Road, but mostly we are busy with our screens. It is a humble setup. We don't feel the need for a high-rise office. Having our own space in a residential-style building feels more comfortable and honest.
