Bishnu Jyoti Store

Bishnu Jyoti Store has been sitting here in Post Office Barbhag for a while now. Being right near the Shiv Mandir means we see a lot of people coming and going every day. It's a quiet spot most of the time but gets busy during festivals. We try to keep the shelves full of what people in Pubkalakuchi actually need. Sometimes the stock arrives late because of the roads, but we make do. It's just me and a couple of others helping out. We know most of the faces that walk through the door. If someone needs something specific, we write it down and try to get it in the next trip to town. The building is not fancy. It's got that old smell of grain and tea. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the neighbors who stop by after visiting the temple or checking their mail at the post office. Dealing with the daily heat can be tough, but the fans keep things moving. We don't have a big website or anything like that. Just this small space where people come to grab their daily bits. It's honest work and keeps us busy from morning until we lock up at night. Life in Pubkalakuchi moves at its own pace and we just move along with it. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a regular shop for regular folks. We like it this way.
