Barman Store

Barman Store is a little place I run in the Railway Colony of Bamunimaidan. It’s located on Railway Colony Road, right here in Guwahati, Assam. The pincode is 781021. I’ve been here for several years now, and the shop has become a bit of a second home to me. I sell a bit of everything, mostly groceries and household items that the families in the colony need. It’s not a fancy supermarket, just a local store where you can come in and chat for a bit while you do your shopping. The street outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, which happens a lot here in Assam, but people still make their way over. I try to keep the shop clean, but it’s hard when you have so much stuff packed into a small space. I don't really do any marketing because everyone around here already knows me. It’s a practical business. I wake up, open the shutters, and stay until late in the evening. Sometimes my wife brings me lunch from our house nearby. It’s a steady life. We aren't trying to do anything big or corporate. It’s just Barman Store, a place for the community to get what they need. I think it’s important to have shops like this in the neighborhood. Anyway, if you’re ever in this part of Bamunimaidan, you’ll see us there on the side of the road. It is just a local business for the people here.
