Asami Varieties Stores

We have been here in Lalganesh Odalbakra for a while now. The shop is right on Kahilipara Road where all the cars pass by. People from around the Odalbakra area come in for all sorts of things they need at home. It gets really busy in the mornings when everyone is heading out to work. We try to keep the shelves full because you never know what someone might ask for on their way back. Sometimes it is just a small thing like a pen or some tape, and other times it is stuff for the kitchen like soap or containers. Guwahati can be quite humid, so we keep the fans going all day. It is a simple setup we have here. My family helps out behind the counter most days. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first name. If we do not have something in stock, we usually try to get it in by the next week when the truck comes. The traffic on the road can be a bit much during the rush hour, but that is just how it is living here. We open early and stay open until the sun goes down and then some. There is not much to say other than we are just a local store trying to keep up with what the neighbors want. Sometimes the deliveries are late, which is frustrating, but we manage. You can find us easily enough. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases because the dust from the road gets everywhere. It is a living.
