Alam Travels

Alam Travels is located on the ground floor of the Jewtora Apartment, right at Basistha Chariali. It’s a busy intersection here in Guwahati, so there is never a quiet moment. We’ve been in this space for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the constant hum of engines and the dust that comes with being near such a major junction. Our office isn't very large, just enough room for a desk, a few computers, and some space for people to wait while we sort out their travel plans. We deal with all sorts of things, like booking tickets or arranging cars for people who need to get across town or further out. It gets pretty hectic sometimes, especially during the holidays when everyone is trying to go somewhere at the same time. We don't have a big corporate setup or a team of people in suits. It’s just us, sitting here in the apartment building, trying to make sure everything goes smoothly for our customers. Sometimes the internet is slow or the phone won't stop ringing, but we just take it one task at a time. We know the Basistha Chariali area inside out, which helps when people ask for advice on when to leave to beat the traffic. We’re just local people doing our jobs, keeping the records straight and making sure the drivers know where they’re supposed to be. It’s practical work, and we like being right here on the ground floor.
