Ards Engineering

Started here in Salakati quite a while back. We are right by the BTF block office, so most people in the village know where to find us. It’s just a small engineering place. We deal with whatever metal work or repairs come our way from the local area. Sometimes it's a bit dusty with all the traffic going by the post office, but we manage. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. Just a few of us here using the tools we have to get things fixed. If someone brings in a broken part or needs something welded, we take a look at it. The shop is pretty basic. We've got our lathes and welding gear set up. It gets loud during the day when the machines are running. We try to keep things moving so people don't have to wait too long, though sometimes parts take a day or two to arrive if we don't have them in the back. Working in a spot like this means you get to know everyone. You see the same faces every week. We just focus on the job at hand. There isn't much more to it than that. We open up early, drink some tea, and then start on the pile of work. If you're passing the block office, you'll probably see us out front. It's a decent place to work, and we keep busy enough. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here, just the stuff that works for us and our neighbors.
