Weavers Collective Handloom Producer Company Limited is located right off the National Highway in Garbhanga. We are based at Bhupendra Narayan Adhikary’s place, which you can find on the right side of the road as you’re heading along the highway. It’s a convenient spot because being near the main road makes it much easier for trucks to stop and load up our goods. We are a group of people who focus on handloom production. It’s a lot of manual work and we don't rely on big machines to do the job. Our setup is pretty basic, just some rooms for storage and a small space where we do the administrative stuff and keeping the books. The area in Garbhanga is quite green and it’s a nice enough place to work during the day. We spend our time coordinating with various weavers from the surrounding areas. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a lot of finished goods arrive all at once, but we manage to get through it. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team to promote us. Most of our connections are made in person or over the phone. We’ve been here for some time now and the local people know us. It’s a practical business. We focus on the quality of the weaving and making sure everything is counted correctly before it goes out. The highway can be noisy with all the traffic passing by, but inside the workspace, it’s mostly just people talking.
