We4Child Foundation is based at H.No. 74 in Purab Bhawandakhingaon, which is in the Sonaighuli area of Kalapahar. We are situated at Usha Rani Deka’s place. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels very personal and quiet compared to the main roads. We don't have a big office building with a glass front. We work from here because it’s where we started and it feels right. The rooms are filled with things we’ve collected over the time we’ve been operating. It’s not a sterile environment; it looks like a place where work actually happens. There are kids playing in the street outside and neighbors chatting over the fence. We like being part of that daily life. We don’t have a marketing department to tell us what to say. We just talk to people like we are talking to friends. If there is work to be done, we just roll up our sleeves and get to it. Sometimes we lose track of time because we are so involved in what we are doing. The house is old but sturdy, and it has plenty of character. We don't try to hide the fact that we are a small operation. Being local and accessible is more important to us than looking corporate. We don't have fancy titles or a strict dress code. We just show up every day and do our best to help out in the community as much as possible.
