If you look for us, we are up on the third floor of Anil Plaza. It is right on G.S. Road, which everyone in Guwahati knows is probably the busiest street around here. We are quite close to the IDBI Bank, so that helps people find the building. Being in the import and export business means we spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer, tracking where things are. It’s not always easy with the way shipping goes these days, but we do what we can. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we sit and get through the paperwork. There is always something coming in or going out, so it stays pretty active. We don’t have a huge staff, just a few people who know the ropes of how to move goods across borders. Sometimes it feels like we are just managing a giant puzzle with all the different rules and timing. The traffic on G.S. Road is always a bit of a headache when we have to go out for meetings. We’ve grown used to the noise from the street below. We just keep doing our thing, trying to make sure the imports and exports keep moving. It is a lot of practical, sometimes boring work, but someone has to do it. We just prefer keeping it straightforward and staying busy throughout the day. It’s a good location for being in the middle of the action.
