Poshac India Foundation

Our group, Poshac India Foundation, operates out of House Number 49 on Jan Path in Hatigaon. If you know Guwahati, you know Dispur can get really crowded with all the traffic and people moving around. Being tucked away in Hatigaon gives us a bit of a break from that noise, though the street still stays pretty busy. We’ve been using this house for our work for a good while now. It’s got enough room for our small team to sit and plan things out. There’s a small porch out front where we usually wait for visitors or just take a breather when the work gets heavy. Most of the time, the rooms are filled with boxes and supplies because we’re always getting ready for the next project. It’s not a shiny corporate office with glass walls; it’s just a regular house that we’ve turned into a workspace. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, which is just how things go around here. We have some tea, wait for the lights to come back on, and keep going. Most of our neighbors are families, so we try to keep things quiet in the evenings. It’s a practical setup that lets us stay close to the heart of the city while still having a place that feels personal. We handle everything from here, from the paperwork to the phone calls.
