Northeast Association For Digital Communications And Media (Nadcom)

Our office is up on Chowdhury Tilla, right across from the Assam State Secretariat in Sarumaturia. It’s a busy area because of all the government buildings nearby on G S Road. We call ourselves Nadcom, which is short for the Northeast Association for Digital Communications and Media. We aren’t really a big formal group; we’re more like a collection of people who care about how media and digital stuff happen in this part of the country. Being so close to the Secretariat means there’s always something going on outside our windows. We spend a lot of time talking to different people about digital communication. It’s a lot of meetings and phone calls, to be honest. Our office isn't anything special, just a place with enough chairs and a decent internet connection. We started this because we felt there needed to be more of a focus on local media here in the Northeast. We aren't trying to sell anyone anything. We just want to be a place where people can connect and share information. Sometimes it feels like we’re just figuring it out as we go, but we’ve managed to stay around for a bit. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We’re just a small group trying to keep up with how fast the digital world is moving and making sure our region isn’t left behind.
