Our office is at House No. 150 on Rajgorh Road, which is right near the Bharalu Bridge in Ulubari. It is a well-known area in Guwahati, and the bridge is a good landmark for people trying to find us. The traffic around the bridge can be a nightmare during rush hour, so we usually hear a lot of honking while we are trying to work. The house itself is an older building with a lot of character. We’ve set up our desks in the front rooms, and it feels more like a home than a regular business office. We have a lot of plants near the windows to block out some of the dust from the road. The work we do is pretty standard—keeping track of savings and making sure the books are balanced at the end of every day. We don't have any fancy posters on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map of the local area. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere, and we don’t really worry about looking corporate or polished. We just want to get the numbers right and help the people who walk through the door. Most of our day is spent talking to folks from the neighborhood and keeping the records updated. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with papers everywhere and the smell of tea always in the air, but it’s our way of doing things here in Ulubari. We usually stay open a bit later if someone calls ahead.
