Ner Textiles And Handicrafts Confederation

We are based at House Number 35, which is located on Nizaramukh Path. This is up on the Santipur Hillside in Guwahati. It is a bit of a climb to get up here, but the view is nice and it keeps us a little away from the busiest parts of the city. Being a confederation for textiles and handicrafts means we work with a lot of different people across the region. Our address is in Kamrup-781009, and we have been in this house for quite some time now. It’s not a standard office building; it feels more like a home because that’s what it was originally. We use the rooms to store local handicrafts and various textile samples from across the Northeast. There is always someone coming or going with a bag of goods or some papers to sign. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so the furniture is a bit old and the walls could probably use some fresh paint one of these days. But it works for us. We spend our time trying to organize things and help local makers get their stuff seen by more people. Santipur is a good neighborhood, and we are glad to be tucked away on the hillside. It’s a busy job most weeks, but it feels good to be working with real handmade things every day and keeping the local traditions going.
