Iasst Social Venture & Entrepreneurship Council

You can find our office on the second floor of the IASST CIF Building. We are situated on Vigyan Path in the Paschim Boragaon area of Garchuk. This council was set up because a lot of people around here have good ideas but don't really know how to get them off the ground. We aren't a big bank or some scary government office. We are just a group that wants to see local folks succeed with their own small businesses or projects. It gets busy around Garchuk, and there is a lot of energy in the streets. We try to bring some of that energy up here to the second floor. Sometimes the coffee is cold and the printer doesn't work, but we keep moving forward. We talk to students, neighbors, and anyone who has a plan they want to try out. It's about giving people a space where they can think and work without too much pressure. We don't promise anyone that they will get rich, but we do try to help them understand the steps they need to take. Being in the Paschim Boragaon area means we are close to a lot of interesting things happening in Guwahati. We spend our time listening mostly. People come in with all sorts of questions, and we do our best to find an answer that makes sense. It's a simple goal, really, just helping our community build something of their own.
