The first floor of the ABC Building on T.R. Phukan Road is where we spend most of our time. Being right in the middle of Guwahati-Kamrup, postcode 781001, means we’re never far from where the action is. Descent Buildwell Llp is a small team. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture or high-tech gear in the office. It’s just a practical space where we can look at drawings and talk to our suppliers. The traffic on T.R. Phukan Road can be a nightmare some days, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. We aren’t trying to be the biggest builders in the city. We just take on projects that we know we can finish properly. Our guys are out on the sites most of the day, so the office stays pretty quiet until the evening. We handle all the coordination and the boring paperwork here. Sometimes it feels like we spend more time on the phone than on the actual construction site, but that’s just how it goes. We don’t bother with glossy brochures or big ads. People usually find us through word of mouth or by seeing our name on a project board. It’s a straightforward way to work, and it’s served us well so far. We just show up, do the building, and try to make sure everything is solid. It’s not flashy, but it’s a living.
