Broken Pie Private Limited

We’re tucked away at 09, Sarvodaya Path, just off the ABC stop on GS Road. It’s a busy part of Guwahati, but our little corner is a bit quieter. Broken Pie is the name we went with, and we just do food and bakery items mostly. It’s not a giant industrial bakery. It’s more of a place where we actually touch the food and make it ourselves. The kitchen gets really hot in the middle of the day, and there's usually flour on the floor by the time we’re done. GS Road is always packed with traffic, so getting our supplies in can be a headache sometimes. We have a small team of people who just like making stuff. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that; we just work out of this spot on Sarvodaya Path. Sometimes we try out a new recipe and it doesn't work, so we just start over. It’s a lot of trial and error. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a spot that makes decent food. You can usually smell what we’re baking from the street if the wind is blowing the right way. It’s just a normal day-to-day grind for us, keeping the ovens going and the counters clean. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything, we just make pies and other things and hope people like them. It keeps us busy and pays the bills, which is all we really need.
