Basudev Prasad & Sons has been sitting here at Shop No.79 in the Civil Line area of Gondia for a long time. My grandfather started it, and now we’re the ones keeping it going. We’re right near the Visia Bank, so it’s easy for people to find us when they’re out running errands. The shop is a bit small and it gets crowded with all the stock we keep on the shelves. Sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we manage to find what people need if they give us a minute. We don't really do much advertising; word of mouth has always been enough for us in Gondia. It’s a family thing, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter. We talk to the regulars about their families and the local news while we work. It’s not just about selling things, it’s about being part of the community here. The shop opens early and we stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit dusty, but that’s just how it goes in an old building. We try to keep prices fair because we know everyone around here. It’s a simple life running a shop, and we’re happy to be where we are. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where we show up every day to serve the town.
