Our shop is at 248, Thimmanagar Road in Pitlam. It’s a small town, so things are a bit more relaxed than in the big cities. We don't have a massive inventory, but we try to keep what’s useful for the local folks. Most of our day is spent talking to people who stop by. In Pitlam, everyone knows everyone else, so a lot of the time people come in just to chat while they pick up their groceries. We have a couple of wooden benches outside where people sit when the weather is nice. The store itself is quite simple. We use a manual scale for weighing things out, the old-fashioned kind with the metal weights. It’s accurate enough for us. We get our supplies from the bigger towns nearby, and sometimes when the truck is late, we have to tell people to come back the next day. They usually don't mind much. We aren't trying to build an empire here. We just want to keep the shelves stocked and the light on. The roof leaks a tiny bit when there’s a heavy storm, so we keep some buckets handy, but otherwise, the place holds up well. It’s a quiet life, opening the doors in the morning and locking them up at night. We’ve been part of Thimmanagar Road for a long time, and we don't plan on going anywhere else because this is where our people are.
