Badanakanti Sathavva

My house is number 5-52 in Maddikunta village. I've lived here in the Machareddy area for most of my life. Around Kamareddy, things move at a slower pace. My days are mostly filled with work around the house and taking care of things in the local area. It’s a quiet neighborhood where everyone knows each other. I don't have a big shop or a company name that people recognize from far away. It’s just me, Badanakanti Sathavva. People come by when they need help with small tasks or to trade things. The house is old but it stays cool in the summer. I spend a lot of time in the front area where there's a bit of shade. Sometimes the dusty wind blows through and I have to sweep the porch three times a day. We deal with the rains when they come and the heat when it stays. I don't use much technology, just what's needed for the day. Living in Maddikunta means you rely on your neighbors quite a bit. We share news over the fence. My work isn't anything fancy, just the regular stuff that keeps a home and a small life going. I’ve seen many changes in Machareddy over the years, but our street stays mostly the same. I just keep busy with my daily chores and wait for the evening to cool down. It's a simple life, but it keeps me occupied from morning till night. Usually, the neighbor's dog sits with me for a bit.
