University Of Kalyani

Kalyani is where you’ll find the University. It’s a wide-open place compared to the city. We work in the main offices, handling the everyday stuff that keeps the campus running. You’ll see students everywhere, especially near the canteen or under the big trees when it's hot. Our days are filled with paperwork, student records, and making sure the classrooms are ready for use. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between buildings. The pace here is a bit slower than in Kolkata, which is nice. We have the usual problems like old printers jamming or the power cutting out during a storm. It’s part of the charm of an older institution. We don't have a corporate handbook for how to talk to people; we just try to be helpful when someone is lost or needs a form signed. The campus has a lot of history, and you can feel it in the old brickwork and the dusty library shelves. We just play our small part in the whole system. Every year we see a new group of nervous faces, and every year we see them leave a little more grown-up. It’s a good environment to be in, even if the admin work can get a bit repetitive sometimes. It’s just life at the university, and we are quite content with how things go here from one semester to the next without much interruption.
