Sangjukto Social Development Foundation

Our foundation operates from Krishnanagar, right on Don Bosco Sarani. It’s a busy enough area, being part of the municipality. We are set up at Nemai Chandra Ghosh’s place, PN-1365. If you know the Don Bosco school area, you know exactly where we are. It’s a standard neighborhood where everyone is always moving about. The foundation is basically a few of us trying to keep things running smoothly from this office. We spend a lot of time talking to people who drop by. Krishnanagar has its own pace, and we just follow that. Sometimes the traffic on the main road gets loud, but inside it’s okay. We have been in this part of Nadia for a bit now. Nemai is usually around if anyone needs to ask something specific. It isn’t a corporate environment at all, just a local spot where work gets done. We handle our paperwork on old desks and keep the windows open for the breeze. People from around the municipality know the address well enough. It’s just a regular house turned into a workspace for the foundation. There are always tea stalls nearby where we end up talking about what needs to be finished for the week. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It is just a local group doing what we can from this corner of West Bengal. We like being here because the community is very close-knit and the neighbors are friendly.
