Down in Mayapur, we are located on Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Marg. This area, Abhaynagar, is where you will find Bhaktivedanta Hospital Mayapur. It’s a unique place to work because of the atmosphere of the town. There are always pilgrims and visitors passing by. Our hospital is a simple structure on the main road. Inside, it’s mostly quiet except for the morning rush. We have a small team of doctors and assistants. They live nearby and walk or bike to work. The heat can get pretty intense here, so we try to keep the indoor areas as cool as possible. We don't have a lot of flashy equipment, but we have what’s needed for the community. You see a lot of familiar faces if you stay here long enough. People come in with all sorts of regular ailments. We listen, we check them over, and we provide what we can. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up. Sometimes there are festivals and the whole street gets blocked with people, making it a bit of a challenge to get to the entrance. But we manage. It’s just part of being in Mayapur. We don’t use complicated forms or have a big corporate office. It’s just us here in Abhaynagar, trying to be useful to our neighbors and the visitors who might need some medical help. It's a simple life for us staff members. We just keep our heads down and do our jobs every day.
