My practice, Yog-Yogeshwar Clinic, is at number 2 on Adharwadi Road in Kalyan West. It’s a part of Thane that stays pretty active throughout the day. I’ve been working from this location for many years now, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The clinic is a small, ground-floor space that’s easy for people to get into. I have a desk where I sit and talk to patients, and a small area behind a curtain for examinations. It’s not a big corporate hospital; it’s just me and a helper sometimes. The shelves are filled with medical books and boxes of supplies that I need for the day. I keep my own hours mostly, opening up when the morning rush starts. People come in with all sorts of problems, and I do my best to help them out. The traffic on Adharwadi Road can be quite loud, but we are used to it by now. I don't use much fancy technology, just my stethoscope and a blood pressure cuff. I like the personal touch of talking to my neighbors and hearing about their lives. Sometimes we run out of chairs when it’s busy, so people wait outside on the pavement. It’s a very local, down-to-earth kind of place. I don’t believe in overcomplicating things. I just want to provide a decent service to the people of Kalyan without making things too expensive or difficult for them.
