Print Drive

We run Print Drive out of Shop No. 02/13. It is located in Shankar Colony, right by Kala Talav in the Thankarpada area. If you find Mahek Plaza, we are just directly opposite that. The shop is usually humming with the sound of printers and the smell of fresh ink. I started this place because I liked the technical side of things. It’s not a big corporate office. It’s more of a workspace where things actually get made. We have stacks of paper and boxes of cartridges everywhere. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the morning fixing them, but that’s part of the job. Thankarpada is a lively spot. There are always people walking past the window. We get a lot of students and local workers coming in. I’m usually behind the counter or sitting at the computer checking files. It’s a busy life, but it’s good to be working for yourself. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’ve been too busy to get around to it. We just focus on getting the prints right and making sure nobody is waiting too long. Opposite Mahek Plaza is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. We keep the door open most of the day for the breeze. It’s just a normal local print shop doing everyday work for the neighborhood. We enjoy being a part of this community and seeing the different projects people bring in. It keeps us on our toes every single day.
