Our little workspace is at Shop No. 2 in the Balaji Darshan building. If you go behind the Bajarpeth Police Station near Dudh Naka in Kalyan West, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, which is actually nice because it keeps the noise of the main road at a distance. I spend most of my days here designing and sculpting. The shop isn't very big, so things tend to pile up quickly. There’s always some clay or plaster drying in a corner, and the table is usually covered in sketches and tools. I don't have a team of people; it’s mostly just me and occasionally an assistant when a project gets too big to handle alone. People come by with all sorts of ideas, and we just try to figure out how to make them work in real life. It’s a lot of trial and error. Sometimes a design looks great on paper but just won't stand up once we start building it. Being near the police station means it’s a safe enough area, though parking can be a real headache around here. I’ve been in Kalyan for a long time, and I like being part of this local neighborhood. It’s not a fancy studio with a receptionist, just a place where things get made. Most days I’m just covered in dust and trying to finish something before the sun goes down.
